Sunday's message from Matthew 25:31–46 was a challenging reminder that following Jesus means more than talking about Jesus.

It's easy to love people who look like us, think like us, and fit neatly into our idea of who deserves compassion. But Jesus doesn't give us that option.

We were challenged to:

SEE THE NEED. You can't minister to people you're unwilling to notice.

SERVE THE PERSON. Compassion isn't just seeing a need; it's doing something about it—even when it's uncomfortable, inconvenient, or involves people we wouldn't ordinarily choose.

SEE THE SAVIOR. Jesus takes personally how we treat the people around us, especially the least, the overlooked, and the forgotten.
